Nicola Perullo on estetiikan professori Pollenzon University of Gastronomic Sciences -yliopistossa, jossa hän on myös kandidaattiohjelman johtaja. Hän tutkii ruokaa ja filosofiaa, kokemusta ja tietoa, maun estetiikkaa, elämäntapoja, viisautta, ruokaa ja taidetta, luovuutta ja “epistenologiaa” (tietoa viinin kanssa).
Born in Livorno, Italy, March 1, 1970. He is Professor of Aesthetics, currently teaching at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy, where he is Director of the Undergraduate Program. Guest Lecturer and Visiting Professor at many other institutions and universities (Università di Palermo, Holy Cross College and Florida Atlantic University in United States). He is the author of many books and articles. Between them: Taste as Experience (Columbia University Press, 2016) Can Cuisine be art? (Carocci, Rome, 2013), Wineworld: new essays on wine, taste, philosophy and aesthetics (Rivista di Estetica, n. 51, 2013, Rosenberg & Sellier) and Epistenology. Wine and the Creativity of Touch (Mimesis, Milan, 2016). Main fields of research: food and philosophy, experience and knowledge, aesthetics of taste, style of life, wisdom, food and art, creativity and “epistenology” (knowledge with wine).

Tämä on yksinkertainen mutta kumoamaton argumentaatio, jonka muutama filosofi on nostanut esiin (mm. Epikuros, Montaigne, Feuerbach, Fourier, Lévinas). Meidän täytyy päivittää tästä oletuksesta juontuvaa ajatusparadigmaa, ottaen huomioon eräitä tärkeitä seurauksia.
Philosophy Through Food: Why Addressing Your Thoughts Via Taste Experience Is Important For Your Life
Despite the poor consideration given by most western thinkers through centuries, food is fundamental for life. Without eating, there is no life, then there is no thought: this is a simple, easy, but incontrovertible argumentation that has been raised occasionally by few philosophers (Epicurus, Montaigne, Feuerbach, Fourier, Lévinas among others). We have to refresh our paradigm of thought stemming from this assumption, taking into consideration some important consequences.
