Wolfram Eilenburger (s. 1972) on filosofi, journalisti ja kirjailija. Hänet tunnetaan Philosophie Magazin -lehden päätoimittajana, erilaisissa keskusteluohjelmissa vierailevana julkkisakateemikkona, kuukausittaisista jalkapalloaiheisista kolumneistaan ja romaaneistaan. Monipuolinen Eilenburger myös opettaa Berliinin Taideyliopistossa. Eilenburger on naimisissa Suomen-tutkija ja entinen koripalloilija Pia Päiviön kanssa ja asuu Berliinissä ja Kööpenhaminassa.
Wolfram Eilenberger, born 1972, is a philosopher, journalist and writer. He is the editor of „Philosophie Magazin“, and in high demand as a German intellectual, often appearing on talkshows. He has published eight books, including the best-selling novel „Finnen von Sinnen“ which has been translated into several languages. He has taught at the University of Toronto (Canada), Indiana University (Bloomington, USA), and he currently teaches at the University of Arts, Berlin. He also holds a DFB football trainer’s licence and is the author of the monthly football column „Eilenbergers Kabinenpredigt“ for the German Newspaper ZEIT ONLINE. Since 2013 he has been one of the programme directors of the philosophy festival phil.Cologne. He is married to an expert on Finnish studies and former Finnish national basketball player Pia Päiviö, and he lives with his family in both Berlin and Kopenhagen.

No doubt: the force was strong with Heidegger. And much like Anakin Skywalker (aka Darth Vader), ages ago in a far of galaxy, the “Meisterdenker” from Meßkirch, Germany, also fatally succumbed to the dark side of it. In his case, at the beginning of the 1930s when he joined the German National Socialist Party and lauded Hitler’s rise as the awakening of a new world-saving power. The real reasons that lead Heidegger (and Anakin) down the path to the dark side lead us to the essence of philosophy itself.
