Erika Ruonakoski

Erika Ruonakoski, PhD, is Senior Researcher at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of Jyväskylä. She is the author of Eläimen tuttuus ja vieraus (Familiarity and foreignness of animals, 2011) and the co-author of Human and Animal in Ancient Greece (2017) together with Docent Tua Korhonen. Her philosophical point of departure is phenomenology of the body, and she has specialized in questions of intersubjectivity, animals and gender. Currently she works in the project Gender and Philosophy.
